Biography

Rita Ortolino-Dioguardi is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies. She received her MSEd. from Wheelock and she is a state certified K-8 teacher. She has been at Tufts since 1978 as both a teacher and an administrator. Rita joined the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies in 1992. She oversees the running of the department office, supervises and trains student staff, coordinates the department budget, monitors the program's technological services. Rita is also an adoption advocate, business owner and collage artist. Her collage art is currently in the Sharon Art Gallery at the Sharon Arts Center of the New Hampshire Institute of Art an affiliate of the University of New Hampshire.

Rita is a talented collage artist who works tireless with her hands and fingers ripping paper mostly from magazines.  Her website is filled with magical mystical paper and cloth collage art (loves making quilts, too) always in progress.
